Steps to Life-long Learning
ü Select a pathway for learning – consult with institution counselor
o Community College
o University
o Technical School
o Continuing Education
ü Apply to partnering institution
o Determine which school offers your pathway – check our schedule for more information (you may need to apply to more than one school)
o Most schools allow students to apply online – use your home computer or reserve time with the Center’s public use computer
o Application packets can be sent to interested students by mail and the student can complete the packet and mail to the school
o Most schools have a application fee
o Applications can be submitted at any time but must be completed before registration
o Consider financial aide and complete all necessary paperwork
ü Register for courses
o Determine the course or courses needed for your pathway – recommended by the counselor at the institution
o Obtain a registration number or PIN number from the participating school
o Register online or go in person to the college on the specified day (we have registration deadlines and information available for you) (Typically registration for Fall terms will occur from June – August and for Spring terms will occur from November – early January)
o Pay all fees
