The Center

Graham Education & Workforce Center is a non-profit organization serving the Graham, Texas community and surrounding communities.

Citizens of Graham recognized the need in our community to create a bridge between training and education and the vocational opportunities in today's high skilled job market, to keep our citizens abreast of these latest technologies and skills as the key to keeping new jobs in our community, and to bring skilled teachers and craftsmen to the community to create a place to develop our skills in this ever changing job market.

The GEWC seeks to provide life-long learning opportunities for the citizens of Graham and the surrounding communities.

Our original partners included the Texas Business & Education Coalition (TBEC), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Graham Independent School District, Weatherford College, Vernon College, Midwestern State University. TSTC - Breckenridge & North Central Texas College.

The former Shawnee Elementary campus is the site for the Graham Education & Workforce Center.  Knowledge Base Foundation is currently the financial resource for renovating the former elementary school.  The campus houses Workforce Resource – which is the local office of the Texas Workforce Commission, distance learning classrooms, face to face classrooms, computer labs, and administrative offices for the Center.   We host college classes, continuing education classes, and training seminars for Graham ISD and local businesses. We have also acquired 1100 Cherry Street known as the Old Library and it is our plan to utilize this facility for health related course work.
